When booking your flights, we recommend flying into either Sarasota Bradenton International Airport (SRQ) or Tampa International Airport (TPA). SRQ is conveniently located just 10–15 minutes from the Ritz Carlton Sarasota, making Uber and Lyft great transportation options. TPA offers a wider selection of direct flights from across the country and is approximately one hour and fifteen minutes from the Ritz Carlton Sarasota. If flying into TPA, we recommend renting a car or arranging transportation to your place of stay in advance, though Uber and Lyft are also readily available!

Once you are in the Sarasota area, ride-sharing services are readily available and easy to use. Additionally, the Ritz Carlton Sarasota provides complimentary shuttle services to St. Armands Circle and the Ritz Carlton Beach Club. Furthermore, if you are staying at the Ritz Carlton Sarasota or a nearby hotel, there is a complimentary trolley that can take you to downtown Sarasota, St. Armands Circle, and Lido Beach. If traveling from Tampa International Airport (TPA), renting a car can be helpful for the drive into town and for exploring the area. If you prefer not to rent a car, we recommend scheduling your ride share in advance of your flight landing in Tampa, as unscheduled Uber and Lyft rides may involve a wait.

Our ceremony will take place outdoors in the Healing Garden, followed by an outdoor cocktail hour in the same garden. The reception will then move indoors to Plazas I and II for dinner and dancing. An indoor afterparty will follow in Plaza III.

The wedding dress code is black tie preferred. We encourage everyone to dress their best! For men, tuxedos are preferred, but dark suits with ties or bowties look great, as well. For women, gowns or long cocktail dresses are welcome. The attire for the Welcome Party on Friday evening is coastal cocktail.

December in Sarasota is mild and pleasant. Average daytime highs are in the mid-70s°F and evenings may cool into the mid-60s°F. Rain is less common than in summer. Both the Welcome Party on Friday and the ceremony and cocktail hour on Saturday will take place outdoors, so we recommend bringing a light wrap or jacket for the evening if the forecast calls for cooler weather.

We have a room block available at the Ritz Carlton Sarasota for the wedding weekend. Because all wedding events are located at the Ritz Carlton, staying at the hotel is a convenient and recommended option for our guests. Trolley transportation will be provided from the Ritz Carlton to the Ritz Carlton Beach Club on Friday for the Welcome Party. All wedding guests are welcome to meet at the Ritz Carlton to utilize this transportation. Otherwise, wedding guests may use a rideshare service to arrive at the Ritz Carlton Beach Club. Driving is not preferred, as parking is limited. Transportation will not be provided the day of the wedding. Guests who are not staying at the Ritz Carlton are encouraged to stay at a hotel within walking distance or utilize rideshare services.
